Description
Very light weight blockboard (300 kg/m³) having the skins of rotary cut Fromager veneer and the core made of a light wood, very similar to Balsa on a technical and physical bases.
Its extremely low density (40% lighter compared to Okoumè/Gaboon plywood and 25% compared to Poplar plywood) makes the Superlight Blockboard very much appreciated for furnishing structures when a drastic reduction in weight is required.
Moreover, thanks to its peculiar dimensional stability, it has achieved a great success in a market which lacks of valuable alternatives. It is widely used for the production of small doors of cabinets for which a very good flatness is required.
Upon request, particular thickness and compositions are produced for doors on board, both raw and already veneered.
