Company profile

Ever since the thirties, operating in the wooden sector, proud of the wood knowledge that has been passing on generation to generation, NORD COMPENSATI has started the production of plywood in 1950 relying on its twenty years experience in the selection and treatment of wooden raw material.
In 1965 the Company began the production of marine plywood according with BS 1088 rules and, as a consequence, the import of raw materials from extra European countries.
In 1978 the production has been homologated by the Italian Naval Register R.I.Na. as “R.I.Na. CERTIFIED MARINE PLYWOOD”. The high quality of this production, together with the remarkable experience acquired through the years, has taken the company to the highest position in the consideration of ever increasing exigent customers, and not only for the products directly manufactured by NORD COMPENSATI, but also for those only imported and distributed, considering the company as a guarantor for all the goods passing through our warehouses.
The continuous investments in new machineries and the customers’ satisfaction are the main reasons for which we have been among the first in our field to obtains the ISO 9001 Certification Quality.

In 1994 starts the veneer and sawn lumber division that, with the opening of a foreign office in Myanmar assures us a continuous supply of Teak wood.
Our partners in Africa, U.S.A. and Russia permit us to import various special lines of raw material and semi-finished products allowing us to state that NORD COMPENSATI’s first aim is trading, as it was at the beginning in the thirties.
This aim is, in any case, supported by a production unit that is assisted by a development office always ready to comply with the market requirements and changes. This unit produces a wide range of special items with an high technological content that, in some particular cases, give us the possibility to affirm that our production is unique in Italy and in Europe.
